About Us

Friendie Audio. Athletic Audio.

Friendie Audio Logo

Founded by Jane and Phil Sahhar, Friendie creates high-tech, fashion-forward, sportsluxe headphones, audio sunglasses, speakers and tech accessories. Like an accessory, your audio accessories should look and feel beautiful. They should match your style and represent who you are. They should be one with you, like your best friend. They are always there when you need them, be it hitting the gym, relaxing on the couch or commuting into work before a massive presentation. Your Friendies give you access to music on the go, and allow you to create the soundtrack to your life. As an online business, Friendie ships Australia-wide and Internationally right from our offices in Warragul, Victoria.

Our Friendie products are listed on our own website, as well as The Iconic, Myer, Amazon Australia and more. Our range is accessible within Australia and overseas, and are priced competitively within a range of market segments so that everyone can find their ‘next best Friendie’. As a company, we are determined to give back to the community and our proudest moment of 2020 was running a “Friendie for Beyond Blue” campaign. Friendie donated headphones to those in need, asking customers to simply “Pay What You Can”, with profits going to Beyond Blue. As a healthy, happy, balanced, friendly sports-tech brand, we have been featured in print magazines and on the runway at Melbourne Fashion Week. We are also incredibly proud to be the 2021 audio sponsor of Miss Universe Australia, working with the team for the second year in a row. Most of all, we love where we live and what we do, and we love that music brings happiness.

Friendie is stocked online through the following retailers: The Iconic, The Iconic Sport, Myer, Red Balloon, Amazon Australia, Hard to Find, Kogan, Dick Smith, Catch of the Day, Temple and Webster, Once It….and more.

Watch this space- there’s so much more to come!

Jane and Philip Sahhar, Friendie Founders

Jane was once a Secondary school English teacher, who noticed how many teenagers wore headphones as the ultimate accessory. Her love for fashion and pop culture, married with her love of music, has resulted in the successful creations of many headphones in the Friendie stable. She loves people, networking and making new friends, and handles the marketing side of Friendie. Outside of work, Jane’s interests include art, reading, Netflix, surfing, being outdoors and cuddling her cat. Fitness is a huge part of her life, and you’ll find her at the gym most days! Her latest passion is sharing her experiences as a female founder in business through speaking gigs, and managing their latest business baby, Kindness Pack, selling home-compostable postage satchels which give 50% of all profits to charity. Her greatest achievements are their kids, Thomas (10) and Charlotte (8), and she is also a lover of good food, amazing wine, music and decaffeinated coffee.

Phil has navigated the corporate finance world prior to focusing all his attention on Friendie. He has sharpened his teeth in large corporations, and now provides the brainpower behind the technological aspects of our company. He’s constantly coming up with new ideas and a genius at all things Excel, websites and product development. He's always coming up with new business ideas, and was proud to launch Kindness Pack in 2021, a business creating home-compostable postage satchels that also give 50% back to charities. Phil is passionate, energetic, and creative, with a huge love for cycling, running, gymming, creating lego masterpieces with the kids, music, family and friends. His other loves include sneaking off for a ‘quick’ surf, and he’s well known for his tendency to squirrel away chocolate all over the office ‘just in case’.
